We'll take you through correctly packing up your PC to ensure safe transit for the journey back to us.

A quick guide on how to pack up your PC to prepare it for a servicing return.

Turn off your PC as usual, remove all cables that are plugged into the PC, including all ports at the front and back, there should be absolutely nothing plugged into your PC.

1. Disconnect your PC from all power and cables

We'll need the internal foam, the cardboard box, the plastic cover and white foam pieces for the chassis, and some tape.

2. Grab Your Supplies

Take off the glass panel and pack the insides with as much foam/bubble wrap as you can. If you don't have enough of the original foam, you can use spare towels/shirts to tightly pack in between components. Pay special attention to the graphics card— the surrounding areas should be packed so the card is supported on all sides to avoid damage during transit.

3. Pack the insides

Place the large white foam pieces onto the top and bottom of your PC. Be mindful, the foam can only go on one way as they are cut to fit the shape of the case. Re-orient the case so the foam is on the left and right sides.

4. Put on the Chassis foam and plastic cover

Slide the box down over the top of the PC with the foam on either side, then flip the box carefully so that the cardboard flaps are pointing to the roof.

5. Getting the PC into the box

Fold the cardboard flaps so that they are closed and tape up the box. Use as much tape as needed to ensure it doesn't come loose in transit.

6. Taping the box shut

That's it! Your PC is now ready to return. Follow the rest of the instructions in the email to prepare your PC for shipping.

How to Pack Up Your PC to Return for a Service

A quick guide on how to pack up your Aftershock watercooled PC to prepare it for a servicing return.

Pay special attention to the graphics card and the pipes— the surrounding areas should be packed so the card and pipes are supported on all sides to avoid damage during transit.

Pick up the PC box by the handles and place it inside the bottom half of the crate. Then take the top half of the wooden crate and slide it over the top, ensuring it the metal latches on the bottom line up with the hooks on the top.

7. Insert PC into the wooden crate

Hook the latches on and lock them in, then use the padlocks originally provided with the crate to lock everything in place. The code should be the same code that was used when you received the PC.

How To Pack Up Your Open Loop For A Servicing Return

If your Vapor 15 Pro is crashing, freezing, or not posting, we may need to reseat the RAM.

We'll take you through reseating your Vapor 15 Pro RAM.

All you'll need is a Phillip head screwdriver and an old plastic card or guitar pick to assist with the opening the panel.

1. Grab your gear

Firstly, turn off your laptop completely, unplug the A/C adaptor and then turn over your laptop. Unscrew the 10 screws from the rear of the laptop with the screwdriver.

2. Prepare the laptop

Loosen up the screws as they do not come off, then pry open the bottom case. If you cannot get a grip with just your fingers, use the credit card or guitar pick to assist.

3. Open up the back

Once the back panel is removed, unplug the battery. You need to use 2 fingers to take out the cable moving it side to side for secure release.

4. Unplug the battery

Pull back the black protective film but do not remove it fully. Using your fingers, pull the levers outwards away from each other. The RAM will be unlocked and will pop up slightly. We can now remove the sticks by pulling it away from the socket.

5. Remove the RAM

Swap the sticks around and place them back into the socket at a 30-degree angle making sure the RAM's cutouts match the cutout of the socket.

6. Reinsert the sticks

Once the RAM is re-inserted and you've plugged the battery back in, we can place the bottom case back on the laptop. To put the bottom case back on, we'll have to clip in the front first to ensure the rest of the case clicks in correctly.

7. Close up the back

Once the case is back on, we can firmly retighten the screws, plug the A/C back in and turn the laptop on.

8. Rescrew all the screws and plug the A/C in

That's it! The RAM reseat is complete. Your laptop should hopefully be back to normal now.

9. You're done!

How to reseat your Vapor 15 Pro RAM

This is a guide on how to setup and sync your Manta 16x watercooler.

Distilled Water,  Funnel,  Water-cooling unit (The Unit, Charging adapter and Water-cooling tubes)

You will need:

Find the fill port at the top of the water-cooling unit and twist to open it up. Put your funnel into the fill port.

1. Open your unit

Using distilled water, pour it into the unit and fill it up to the top line of the viewing window on the side of the unit. Then twist the lid back onto the fill port tightly.

2. Fill your unit

Connect the water-cooling tubes to your laptop and the front of your water-cooling unit, the connectors are magnetic and any end can connect to the laptop or water-cooling unit. Make sure the connector is seated in straight like the images shown, otherwise the port will leak.

3. Connect your unit to your laptop

Using the power extension cable that came with the watercooling unit, connect one end to the port on the watercooling unit with a laptop symbol above it, and connect the other end to the charge port of your laptop. Then connect your laptop's charger to the other port on the watercooling unit.

4. Connect power

Press the button on the front of the water-cooling unit to turn it on, it should light up when turned on.

5. Power the watercooling unit on

On your laptop open up your Bluetooth settings and find "Cooling System LCT22002" and add it to your Bluetooth devices.

6. Sync your watercooling unit to your laptop

Open up the Aftershock control panel, navigate to the "Performance" tab then "Liquid Cooling System Control". Here you can connect the unit. Now you have fully setup your cooling unit, you can use teh control centre to control all the settings.

7. Launch your watercooling

How to setup your Manta 16x Laptop watercooler

If the RGB hub has become unsynced, your RGB components may be unresponsive to the RGB software. Resyncing your hub should fix any lighting issues.

RGB fans and cooler not responding to the motherboard's software? Let's resync the hub!

Loosen the screws at the back of your PC and slide off the back panel. The exact method for this will vary depending on your chassis. Note: The PC will still need to be powered on in order for the hub to sync.

1. Open up the Back Panel of Your PC

The RGB hub should look something like the image above. Identify the 2 sync pins on it.

2. Identify the RGB Hub and Sync Pins

Hold a screwdriver across the 2 pins in order to resync the hub. You'll know this has happened when the lights flash and return to the colour you've pre-selected.

3. Resync the Hub

Slide the back panel back into place and tighten up the screws. Your fans should now be synced and you're ready to get back in action!

How to Resync Your RGB Hub

If you're experiencing bluetooth dropouts, or a slow WiFi connection, we may have to double check your WiFi antenna.

Check your Wi-Fi antenna to easily resolve network issues.

Your Wi-Fi antenna should have been included with your motherboard box when you received your PC, it should look something like this.

1. Confirm that you have recieved your Wi-Fi antenna

The Wi-Fi antenna will connect to the back of your PC onto the 2 gold screw connections. Make sure these are screwed in tightly. Once your antenna is connected, restart your PC.

2. Attach your Wi-Fi antenna

Double check you're no longer experiencing a connection issue and you're good to go!

How to Check your Wi-Fi Antenna

Keeping your laptop dust free is highly advised to extend its longevity and keep it performing optimally.

Give your laptop the TLC cleaning it deserves!

You'll need a can of compressed air for the cleaning and a clean cloth before we begin.

1. Grab Your Tools

Locate the fan intakes, and hold the can of compressed air upright around 15 cm away from the laptop.

2. Locate Fan Intakes

Blast the compressed air into the fan intake for about 10 seconds or until no more dust comes out. Repeat the process for any other fan intakes.

3. Spray The Dust Away

Use the clean cloth to give your laptop a wipe down from any residual dust.

4. Wipe Down Your Laptop

That's it! Your laptop should be running much cooler now and you can jump right back into it!

5. Back To Gaming!

How to Clean Your Laptop

Over time fans can lose their bearing grease, resulting in a grinding or ticking sound. Replacing the fan will get rid of this entirely.

Here's a quick guide to replace a faulty fan.

Turn off your PC as usual, remove all cables that are plugged into the PC, including all ports at the front and back, so that there is nothing plugged into your PC.

1. Disconnect Your PC From All Power and Cables

We'll need a Phillips head screwdriver, a snipping tool, some cable ties, and the replacement fan to complete the swap over.

2. Grab Your Tools

Loosen the screws at the back of your PC and slide off the back panel. The exact method for this will vary depending on your chassis. Repeat the steps for your glass panel.

3. Remove Your Glass Panel, and the Back Panel

Once the panels are off, trace both the cables (RGB and fan control) back to your RGB hub.  Once traced, snip the cable ties carefully, and disconnect both from the hub.

4. Trace the Cables of the Faulty Fan

Once the cables are disconnected from the hub, grab a screw driver (regular Phillips head will do), and unscrew the 4 screws holding the fan to the case. Make sure to hold onto the fan while doing this as it will fall once loosened.

5. Unscrew the faulty fan from the case

Grab the replacement fan, and using those 4 screws from the faulty one we just undid, screw the replacement into the chassis in the same place. Make sure the cables are not caught on anything while doing this.

6. Screw the replacement fan

Take the 2 cables of the replacement fan, and guide them through the back of the case exactly how the initial fan was setup. Connect them gently into the same hub slots and you're done!

7. Reconnect the cables

Reconnect all the cables, flick the PSU back on and you should be good to go!

8. Replug and play!

How to Swap a Faulty Fan

Windows 11 systems come with this setting enabled which may result in sub-optimal performance in games. Disabling it should see a boost in performance.

Press Start and start typing "Settings" and open the first option that comes up.

1. Open the Settings Menu

Select "System" in the sidebar and then "Display".

2. Navigate to Display settings

4. Advanced Graphics Options

Turn "Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" OFF. 

5. Disable Scheduling Setting

Reboot your system, and you're ready to go!

How to Disable Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling

Navigate to GeForce Game Ready Driver and download the latest version of the software.

1. Download NVIDIA Drivers and Geforce Experience

Open up the file, click 'OK' and wait for it to load. On the install page, be sure to select 'Drivers and GeForce Experience'.

2. Open and install the downloaded package

Select 'Custom' install, and then tick the box at the bottom to 'Perform a clean installation'.

3.  Perform a Custom Install

Your system may restart during the installation process, allow this to happen and when it boots again make sure that the process has completed.

4. Allow the Reinstall process to Complete

Once the reinstallation has completed, you're ready to get back in action!

5. Get to Gaming!

How to Re-install Your NVIDIA GPU Drivers

If your RGB isn't syncing correctly, your Wi-Fi connection is presenting errors, or you're experiencing issues with your peripherals, a power cycle may do the trick.

1. Turn Off Your PC

2. Disconnect Your PC From All Power and Cables

Press and hold your PC's front power button down for at least 30 seconds.

3. Drain any Residual Power from the PC

Plug all the cables back into the back of your PC, flip the PSU switch back to ON and hopefully your issues have been resolved!

4. Replug Everything And Let's Get Back Into It!

How to Power Cycle (Has Display)

Reseating your Graphics Card is a quick and easy way to resolve a range of issues with your GPU.

Remove the side panel carefully and place it to the side. The exact method to do this will be different for each case. Some come with screws on each corner, others come with a hinge.

2. Remove the side panel

Identify the video card. Most of our PCs come with a dedicated GPU and it should be easy to spot. It’s the large component right in the middle of your case and will likely have several fans and power cables attached.

3. Identify the Graphics Card

Depending on your case, these screws will either be inside or outside the case, and in some cases there will be a retention bracket covering the screws. They will be to the left of the graphics card at the back of the PC. Unscrew and remove the retention bracket if you have one, and then undo the supporting screws while supporting the weight of your graphics card.

4. Remove the Support Screws

Remove the power cables from the front of the GPU. These will be small bundled groups of cables, with a clip to release them.

5. Unplug the Power Connectors

Where the GPU is connected to the Motherboard the slot has a locking clip located on the right hand side. Press this clip in towards the motherboard to release the card.

6. Unfasten the PCIe Clip

Gently lift the GPU away from the motherboard to disconnect it.

7. Remove the GPU

Line the GPU back up with the slot on the motherboard and screw holes at the back of the case and gently push it into the slot. The clip on the motherboard should lock back into place.

8. Reinstall the GPU

Re-tighten the screws at the back of the GPU and re-insert the power cables, ensuring that the cable clip has clicked back into place.

9. Replace Screws and Reconnect Power Cables

Slide the side panel back into place and replace the screws, reconnect any cables that you disconnected, flick the switch on the Power Supply back to the ON position and boot up your PC.

10. Reinstall the Side Panel and Turn Your PC On

How to Re-Seat Your GPU

If your PC isn't displaying, but is showing power, we may have to power cycle to drain it of excess energy.

Power Cycling your PC is one of the simplest ways to identify a potential problem.

Turn off your PC as per normal, remove all cables that are plugged into the PC, including all ports at the front and back, there should be absolutely nothing plugged into your PC.

Make sure the switch for the power supply is in the ON position - this won't work unless it is.

2. Switch The PSU ON

Press and hold your PC's front power button down for at least 30 seconds. (For some higher performance systems, you may need to leave the PC for 30 minutes to properly power cycle)
